The Company:
Our client is a global leader in the design and delivery of infrastructure, power and major engineering projects around the world. Their clients come to them for a wide range of advice, resources and skills - in engineering, maintaining infrastructure, managing construction, planning and strategic thinking.

The Role:
The Quality Engineer will be required to carry out quality assurance and inspection activities of a wide range of equipment on numerous plants. These will include (but will not be limited to) power generation, transmission & distribution, and nuclear applications.

Duties will include:

Inspection, progressing and expediting of a wide range of equipment at manufacturing locations worldwide
Reviewing and approving inspection and test plans, and manufacturing programmes.
Ensuring that assignment activities are performed in accordance with action requests and that client requirements, relevant contractual codes/standards and corporate requirements are met.
Liaising with contractors and ensure that assignment requirements are understood.
Reporting assignment activities in a timely manner and in accordance with requirements.
Liaising with the client as appropriate throughout the performance of the assignment.
Advising any circumstances which may result in deviations from contract requirement or additional time expenditure on assignments.
Ensuring that assignments are completed to the satisfaction of the client and within the agreed budget.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
This role requires a Chartered Engineer holding a minimum of a HNC or equivalent.
Experience in electrical engineering or quality assurance / quality systems engineering is also essential.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
An Engineering Degree would be an advantage for this role.
Experience working on Rotating Plant Equipment, Wound Products, GIS & Open Terminal Switchgear, Cables, HVDC Systems, Control & Protection Equipment or batteries would also be highly advantageous for this position.
