The Role:
PURPOSE
The Quality Advisor will be responsible for all aspects of QA / QC for the Rehabilitation project.
The Quality Advisor will also liaise with other members in the facilities engineering team and the Quality Manager.

DIMENSIONS
This position will commence Q3 2011 and run until handover of the facilities to Operations.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Responsibility for coordination of inspection at Contractors and Vendors locations and the implementation of an audit schedule
• Assist in the preparation and evaluation of ITTs
• Review key design, vendor and subcontractor documents related to Quality
• Communicate with the back office on technical issues that require expert advice and / or TA1 approval.
• Coordinate the technical and safety reviews (e.g. HAZOP, Constructability Reviews etc.) to ensure HSE compliance and technical integrity;
• Assuring consistent application of Project approved standards and manages the control of any justifiable deviations;
• Liaise effectively with other functions within the team ( technical, commissioning, Flawless) through close networking;
• Implement the DCAF requirements and liaise with the discipline TA-1, when necessary;
• Managing relationships with EPcM Contractor, vendors and Construction Contractors;
• Accountable for the quality of purchased equipment and construction work and for the technical integrity.
• Assurance that the document distribution and approval system is consistent with the approved PCAP requirements
• Ensure Quality Control Actions are progressed and closed out timely
• Engagement with contractors and other 3rd parties to raise awareness of assurance programs, and to ensure alignment
• Organize third party inspection
• Ensure that Contractors will implement the QC requirements forth various projects.
• Organize and lead reviews in Contractors offices


MAIN CHALLENGES
• Working on a project for a remote location;
• Working with a EPcM Contractor to coordinate Quality activities;
• Working with a diverse range of contractors and vendors both within and outside Iraq;
• Working in a multicultural/multi-company team.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
EDUCATION / QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE

• Engineering degree in Mechanical (or other discipline) Engineering
• Working on a project for a remote location;
• Working with a contractors to develop agreed Quality requirements for input into specifications, and review of design deliverables;
• Working with a diverse range of contractors and vendors both within and outside Iraq;
• A minimum of 10 years relevant experience in the oil and gas industry
• Sound experience in design, procurement, construction and commissioning of oil production installations
• Good communication skills, flexibility and self-confidence.
• Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.
• At least 10 years relevant experience in the oil and gas industry
• Experience in working with EPcM Contractors and Vendors
• Good communication skills, flexible and self-confident.
• Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.
