The Company:
My client is a leader in their field, Manufacturing and developing a range of Hardware, software and proven communication technologies all linked into Energy management solutions, with government targeted growth plans in place, they will continue to grow over the next few years.

The Role:
Currently looking for a Quality Engineer to ensure that product and service quality delivered to customers meets their required standards. Promoting overall Quality Engineering activities, particularly within New Product Development Introduction (NPI)

As a Quality Engineer your main duties will involve:
• Customer quality feedback
• Internal and supplier product quality measures
• Maintenance of regulatory, third party and customer approvals of IMS
• Develop, maintain and improve project Quality plans
• Be responsible for all APQP quality related activities.
• Coordinate regular reviews, assessments and audits of key suppliers
• Coordinate, maintain and support internal Quality, Health and Safety and Environmental teams
• Support procurement in development of effective supplier management systems.
• Support product development process and the delivery of effective NPI.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
As a Quality Engineer you will have experience:
• Ideally you will be trained to Lean Six Sigma greenbelt
• HNC qualified in an Engineering related discipline would be an advantage
• Having worked in an Electrical / Electronic bias would be an advantage but not essential.
• Experience as an engineer working in quality or continuous improvement delivering robust business process improvements
• Experienced NPI (new product introduction) or R&D (Research & Development) environment would be of interest.
• Previous experience in a component assembly environment would be a bonus.
• Experience in supplier liaison and management
• Root cause analysis, 7 Quality Tools, 5Y, Kepner- Tregoe, Pareto etc. Process control tools – SPC
• ISO9001: 2000
