The Role:
Purpose The position of Quality Engineer provides quality management support to all engineering disciplines and project teams within the Project Portfolio.
Support will primarily be to Subsea Execution Teams during FEED, Detailed Design and Execution phases.
Support to other areas of the Project Portfolio may be required.
Principal Accountabilities HSE Support Company and Project HSE Goals and all HSE related initiatives.
Encourage personal safety and well being of co-workers by regularly addressing HSE behaviour.
Contribute to the management of the Subsea Quality Improvement Plan.
Provide QA support and advice to FEED, detailed design, construction and project management work being undertaken by project teams within the Project Portfolio. Support the maintenance of the Quality Management System utilised within the office.
Champion implementation of Company’s corporate requirements.
Fulfilling the role of Quality Engineer in one or more integrated in-house company / contractor teams handling multiple project responsibilities.
Preparation of project specific Quality Plans (PQP) and Project Controls Assurance Plans (PCAP). Development of internal and external audit schedules, and project specific procedures.
Participate in change management process ensuring changes are managed from inception to implementation.
Participate in discipline and inter discipline checks and reviews of engineering and design work.
Provision of quality input to Invitations to Tender; attendance at Kick-Off / Pre-Inspection Meetings.
Ensure suppliers adhere to the quality requirements of any contract or purchase order.
Review of contractor / vendors quality plans and inspection and test plan to ensure adequate hold and witness points have been identified to ensure appropriate levels of control are being applied.
Ensure lessons learned processes are implemented at appropriate points during the execution of the work. Capture / apply internal and external learning and incorporate improvements.
Create demonstrable value for all customers by understanding their drivers and critical success factors.
Deliver continuously improving performance, benchmarked as top tier in the industry.
Ensure quality of technical work and the technical integrity, functionality, constructability, safe operation and reliability of designs.
Maintain effective interfaces and relationships within / between disciplines, and peers in other project teams and customer / Asset Teams. Special Challenges Team working in a matrix organisation.
Working in a mixed Company / Contractor team with multi-cultural team members and customers.
Be a team player where recognition of team performance as a whole is a greater priority than projecting individual contribution.
Be able to work in a team environment and handle multiple project responsibilities.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Degree in Engineering, Science, Quality Management or an equivalent qualification.
Industry experience in QA/QM positions, ideally within an Operator environment.
Fully versed with ISO 9000, API and appropriate industry standards.
Fully versed in Quality auditing processes.
Lead Auditor qualification desirable.
Experience in interfacing with contracting companies and leading vendor quality audits.
Record of leading and defining improvement activities and shaping the methods for supplier approaches to business excellence.
Excellent analytical oral and written communication skills. Good MS Office & basic IT skill
