The Company:
Our client is a nuclear specialist, covering both civilian and defence sectors, across the complete lifecycle from New Build, through Operations and Maintenance, to final decommissioning and waste disposal.

The Role:
• Inspection of plant and equipment at Suppliers’ works, welding and materials knowledge
• Quality engineering – production of quality plans, Inspection & Test Plans, LTQR compilation
• Quality Auditing – internal auditing and Supplier audits, compliance checks, QMS procedure authorship


• Chair pre-inspection meetings at Suppliers’ works
• Conduct detailed examinations of materials and components
• Witness pressure tests and function tests, FAT, SAT, etc.
• Production of quality plans and Inspection & Test Plans
• Assist on bids / tenders

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspector qualification preferred
• IRCA Lead Auditor qualification preferred, but not essential
• Experience of internal and Supplier audits, preparation of audit plans, audit reports, etc.
• Knowledge of materials and welding
• Knowledge of ISO 9001:2008 and quality management systems
• Understanding of health & safety in the nuclear industry
• Experience of internal and Supplier audits, preparation of audit plans, audit reports, etc.
• Knowledge and experience of Project Documents Control
