The Company:
Our Client is an International Oil and Gas Operator involved in 2 of Australia's largest LNG Projects based in Western Australia. The Role:
A new opportunity has arisen for a Quality Engineer on a contract basis in Perth. This role is part of the Downstream Quality Group.

The Senior Quality Engineer will assist the QC Manager Procurement/Contracts and have the ability to liaise with other project departments engineering, procurement, materials and expediting. Paying close action to items that have left project for rework either at suppliers or assigned repair workshops.

The role will be responsible for the following:
• Assist project with the resolution of quality control issues taking a proactive approach in line with project specifications/ international codes and standards. Support QC procurement effort as required. Review inspection and test plans (ITPs), quality plans and repair method statements for off Island mechanical repairs.
• Individual will have specific responsibilities to monitor mechanical rework on equipment either at suppliers or designated repair workshops, ensuring that the required documentation inclusive of repair procedure is provided for all repair works and project documents are updated where required (NCR/MDR)
• Promote safety awareness (IIF) and safe performance example among project team members and all contractor personnel. This would include promoting and participation in IIF training at site.
• Champion clear, accurate, concise, timely and consistent communication with the Downstream QC Manager Procurement/Contracts for a timely understanding of key activities as required. This would include immediate notification of areas having Project impact.
• MDR review on behalf of project and assist Barrow Island as requested in line with skyline activities to support sub-system and system turnover. Prepare and issue visit surveillance reports as required including narrative and photographs, tracking action items to closure

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Candidate will have a technical or trade background with QA/QC, engineering inspection experience with 15 plus years in oil and gas LNG fabrication/construction experience.
Ability to train and mentor personnel in the discipline skill set is required.
Occasional travel to site, construction yards, vendors and repair workshops as required.
