The Role:
The purpose of the role is to execute a variety of quality assurance tasks consistent with the focus factory and corporate quality objectives and metrics. Tasks include supplier corrective actions, development and implementation of shop floor quality procedures, support of advanced product planning (FMEAs, control plans, product / process capability studies), and audits of the system for compliance. Position is tasked with identifying quality issues and taking an active role in their resolution, insuring product quality that meets or exceeds customer requirements.

Principal Accountabilities (Indicative):
• Support existing products and manufacturing processes by:
o Identifying, implementing, and maintaining systems, tools and metrics that track the key components of the total cost of quality.
o Developing and implementing corrective action and continuous improvement plans by applying sound problem solving tools and utilizing cross-functional teams.
• Support new product launches by:
o Insuring relevant quality systems are in place.
o Facilitating process FMEAs, developing control plans, and verifying compliance to company procedures.
o Executing capability studies and evaluating results
o Preparing documents for customer acceptance.
• Serve as a technical resource, conducting training and enforcing policy in the areas of:
o Root cause analysis and corrective action
o Data analysis
o Statistical process control
o Quality systems.
• Address supplier quality issues as required. Follow up and close out complaints generated against suppliers.
• Supervise Quality Technicians.
• Perform related duties as assigned.

1. Bachelor Degree in an engineering discipline, Quality emphasis a plus
2. Minimum of 6 years work experience.
3. Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an Aerospace or similar manufacturing environment with an ISO or AS9000, QS9000 quality program; ASQ/CQE preferred.
4. Strong technical background and hands-on approach to problem-solving
5. Excellent communication skills required

39 hours: Monday - Thursday : 07:30 - 16:30
Friday : 07:30 - 12:30
