The Company:
Specialise in the design, manufacture, assembly, test, installation and commissioning of bespoke solutions for the nuclear decommissioning, defence, and nuclear new build markets.

The Role:
The Quality Engineer will Undertake and report on a wide variety of tasks within the quality team.

Tasks will include but are not limited to;
• Developing or supporting the maintenance of the business management systems of policies and procedures to ensure continuing compliance to ISO 9001,14001 as well as various customer quality requirements in order to provide customer assurance
• Internal Auditing and reviews of Business management system and process related documentation
• The Quality Engineer will Process problem solving, non-conformance reporting, root cause analysis and investigations
• Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA), Implementing, Monitoring, Follow-up, and Closure arising internally from audit or non-conformance occurrence, or via customer or 3rd Party Audits etc.
• Liaising with customers and suppliers on quality concerns, surveillance visits, audits final release etc.
• The Quality Engineer will Act as in-house council to provide guidance and solutions to other internal functions when quality concerns and queries arise
• QA input on Business winning activities
• Control and Management of Quality related activity within a project such as;
o Produce/approve internal quality plans and procedures to meet customer and regulatory requirements
o Providing supplier quality assurance e.g. carrying out surveillance and final release activity
o The Quality Engineer will be ensuring compliance to quality plans and managing Project Lifetime Quality Records
o Review and QA Approve documents e.g. Manufacturing and Test Documentation
o Overseeing final release of finished product

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• The Quality Engineer will have a Minimum HNC or equivalent in a materials or engineering or similar technical subject
• Must be able to understand technical engineering standards and specifications to be able to assure product and processes are conforming
• Sound knowledge of BS EN ISO 9001 (BS EN 14001 also useful)
• Minimum 3 years background experience in Quality Engineering ideally from nuclear, aerospace, or oil and gas engineering and manufacturing industry
• The Quality Engineer will have experience in Quality planning, Change management and process development
• Data analysis, Investigation and Problem solving
• Technical Report writing and presentation
• QA tools and techniques such as Pareto, Fishbone, 5 why, Kaizen
• Self-motivated to be able to work with minimum supervision and able to use own initiative to provide solutions to problems and form working teams
