The Company:
Our client is an Engineering Services company, who are an international technical consultancy, providing a range of services including licence to operate, asset management, manufacturing improvement and capital investment to customers in the chemical, petrochemical, oil & gas, pharmaceutical, manufacturing and consumer industries worldwide

The Role:
The position of Project Quality Engineer will have a variety of responsibilities including, but not limited to:

Create, issue and manage all quality documentation including Inspection Test Plans, quality plans, project execution plans and all other associated documents are to the correct standard and available within contractual timeframes.

Lead and conduct project quality reviews.

Ensure accurate records are produced by the project delivery teams that demonstrate compliance with contract specifications and in house processes.

Manage non conformities (NCR) ensuring effective closure of actions, producing reports and KPI’s.

Gathering lessons learnt throughout the execution of the project, providing a clear action plan of improvements.

Compiling and presenting reports and KPI data

Performing project and process audits and making sure any non-compliances are documented and actioned through to completion.

Support QA manager with any ad hoc initiatives required.

Liaising with Client, partners and suppliers for all aspects of Quality Assurance

The development and maintenance of QMS system elements to ensure compliance with project standards.

Provide coaching to project staff in all aspects of Quality Assurance.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Minimum HNC or equivalent in Mechanical, Electronic or Electrical Engineering.
Experienced in a project quality role ideally within the transmission and distribution industry.

Capable of developing and managing project quality documentation e.g. quality plans, Inspections Test Plans (ITP’s), Project Execution Plans (PEP’s) etc.

Be able to problem solve seeking solutions through the expertise of both self and others, researching the facts with care and resolving problems in a timely and thorough manner
Be systematic approach to decision making, ensuring all the necessary facts and information are available and accurate

Capable of working with both clients and suppliers as well as internal stakeholders.

Capable of performing system, project and supplier audits.

Be proactive in completing all paperwork to a high standard without errors

Good verbal and written communication skills being able to communicate at all levels within the organization.

A good level of IT l

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Nationally recognised Quality qualifications with membership of an appropriate Institute preferred

Electricity Supply Industry, Nuclear Industry, Rail Industry Experience

Construction experience advantageous

Good working knowledge of Health and Safety.
