The Company:
A leading Australian coal seam gas explorer and producer focused on developing its world-class reserves for domestic and international supply.

The Role:
The Company has developed a Project Management System (PMS) for the Execute Phase of the LNG Project. This system is new and ongoing development and continuous improvement needs to be actively driven. PMS Implementation also requires verification to ensure adequacy and effectiveness in supporting the documented goals, objectives and critical success factors of the project. The PMS is required to be implemented across all Capital Projects being undertaken by the Company.

The Quality Improvement Engineer will be:
• Accountable for the development, implementation and execution of the Integrated Project Audit Plan and Schedule;
• Accountable for coordinating and performing a structured series of audits and reviews in accordance with the above plan to verify the adequacy and effectiveness of the PMS;
• Accountable for follow-up and close-out verification of Audit Findings;
• Support the Project Quality Managers to implement Contractor and Supplier Audits as required;
• Project Focal Point for liaising with the Corporate Audit Group.
• Accountable for planning and chairing PMS Review meetings with the Project Leadership Team;
• Championing and managing the development, implementation and improvement of the PMS;
• Developing Key Performance Indicators (KPI) for key PMS processes;
• Presenting PMS Improvement Proposals to the Project Management Teams;
• Custodian of the Corrective and Preventive Action Management System
• Custodian of the Non-conformance Management System
• Custodian of the PMS Documentation Index

Special Features
• Some national/international travel may be required.
• The incumbent is expected to undertake regular visits/tours of Project execution worksites in order to visibly demonstrate QA/QC Leadership and support continuous systems improvement

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Extensive experience in implementing and judging the effectiveness and efficiency of Project Management Systems including, Engineering, Contracting and Procurement, Construction, Commissioning, HSSE, Document Control, Project Controls, Quality Management and associated project management functions.
• Minimum of 5 years working on an Oil and Gas development project for an Owners Team.
• Hands-on experience of quality system auditing (at a Team Leader level)
• Development of Project Management/QA Systems in a Project and/or Corporate role
• Educated to degree or similar level, probably supplemented by on the job training/career development courses in Project Management Systems, Quality Assurance and HSSE.
• Good working knowledge of ISO 9001,14001 and OHSAS 18001
• Good interpersonal skills with a flair for building internal and external networks at all organizational levels
• Target orientated and self motivated - able to work under minimum supervision

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• Able to deliver presentations at a range of organizational levels.
• A systematic and organised approach to work
• Good technical authorship skills
• Membership of an appropriate professional body (preferred but not essential)
• Principal Auditor or Lead Auditor Training
