The Role:
Fircroft are seeking a Quality Lead for a long term contract

Location: UK based

Minimum of five (5) years of direct supervision experience directly relating to field supervision of construction QA/QC activities in the contract scope of work (e.g. oil and gas processing facilities).
Working knowledge of oil and gas quality practices and ISO 9000/9001 requirements.
Experienced in the implementation of Quality Execution Plans, Quality Management and Auditing Processes.
In-depth knowledge of typical codes and standards such as ASME, AISC, ASTM, API, WAS, NACE, NFPA as well as working knowledge of NDE process such as radiography, ultrasonic, magnetic particle and liquid penetrant.
Familiarity with Kazakhstan Regulatory requirements is highly desirable.
Reports to the Deputy Project Quality Manager and interfaces with respective Delivery Team Managers.
Provides functional quality oversight for assigned Delivery Teams.
Based in UK with expected travel up to 50% of time. Majority of travel to Kazakhstan and South Korea. Position part of Project Integrated Quality Team representing owner and prime contractor.
Works in partnership with assigned Delivery Team quality staff to meet quality objectives and implement lessons learned.
Facilitates risk based approach to quantify and mitigate risks and work with the Quality Assurance Lead to develop and implement audit plans for respective Delivery Teams.
Establishes Quality KPIs in conjunction with Delivery Team Leadership an reports metrics to QA CPI Lead.
May serve as Lead Auditor in support of the project Audit Plan. Provides quality input to site issued
Purchase Contracts or contract bid documents.
Provides quality training to site personnel for their respective area.
Provides input to the Deputy Project Quality Manager regarding Delivery team quality organisations and staffing; assists in planning and resourcing site quality work fronts.
Reviews and approves contractor quality programs and ITPs; supports identification of appropriate hold or witness points on the ITP.
Assists the Deputy Project Quality Manager and the Delivery Team
Managers to resolve quality related project concerns.
Verifies that the NDE program at site complies with applicable codes, standards and specifications.
Determines the need for inspection tools and equipment and establishing proper calibration
parameters for these items.
Provides Quality input to site developed contracts and interfaces with the owner representatives
and applicable third parties for site developed ITPs and Quality Verification
Documents (QVDs);
lead reviewer for MCPlus content ITPs and QVDs.
Enforces and champions the requirements of the Site Quality Program, including the processing of any required revisions and other project quality and technical requirements, as well as compliance with the approved ITPs developed for the project.
Verifies that nonconforming work activities or hardware are controlled through implementation of a non conformance control procedure; assists
Deputy Project Quality Manager with identification of trends and provides support in closing out findings.
Performs incident investigations of Quality related events as needed.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent and a total of ten (10) years
QA/QC experience preferred; or a high school diploma with a total of fifteen (15) years shop and field QA/QC inspection experience.
Certifications (consider a plus): AWS CWI, CSWIP SWI or approved equivalent certifications or other accepted qualifications.
ISO 9001 Lead Auditor (IRCA or RABQSA) certification.
