The Company:
Our Client is a leading EPC Consultancy. As a result of continued growth they are seeking to recruit a Quality Manager on an ongoing basis to be based at their offices in Crawley.

The Role:
The purpose of the Quality Manager role will be to support the EPC Project Director/Manager and the QHSE function, ensuring compliance to Company policy, standards and procedures whilst providing efficient and cost effective management of resources and activities.


The key competencies for this Quality Manager position are:

• Sound knowledge, understanding and application of ISO 9001.
• Sound knowledge, understanding and application of product Codes and Standards as well as experience of implementing applicable Directives (and related in-country regulations) such as the Pressure Equipment Directive.
• Competent eamwork and interpersonal communication skills, meeting management, presentation and report writing skills.
The key duties for this Quality Manager position are:
• To influence quality strategy through interaction during Proposal, Engineering, Procurement, Purchasing, Construction and Commissioning phases.
• The Quality Manager should identify risks to ensure successful execution and delivery and guarantee risks are captured and mitigated through the project risk register.
• Proactively liaise with the client and third party representatives on project quality performance.
•In respect of supplier/subcontractor assessment and mitigation of identified risk the Quality Manager should provide quality management support to supply chain management.
• Aid the process of the application of the quality management system (QMS) and client quality arrangements.
• Proactively monitor project quality performance data detecting and acting on adverse trends.
• The Quality Manager should be able to plan and undertake project quality audits to measure project compliance with the quality managements system and client quality arrangements.
• Co-ordinate non-conformance management, proactively facilitating close-out and addressing root cause through corrective and preventive actions.
• Confidently interface with Quality Control to ensure appropriate levels of quality surveillance, inspection and control within applicable areas of project execution and delivery.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
The successful applicant for the Quality Manager role will have:

• Bachelors degree in Quality Management or equivalent and be a Corporate Member of the Chartered Quality Institute (MCQI).
• Significant experience in a senior Quality Management role and significant EPC project experience within the Mechanical and Process Plant industries.
