The Role:
• To provide overall quality assurance oversight of the Contractor’s QC program during the PFC (Permanent Facilities Compound) execution.
• To ensure that PFC Contractor has a comprehensive and functioning quality management system in place to effectively and safely construct the PFC facilities in accordance with the Construction Documentation.

• Work closely with Contractor to develop site-specific Project Quality Plan.
• Review Contractor QC staffing to ensure quality organization has qualified resources to effectively administer and implement quality requirements.
• Review Contractor plans, procedures and Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
• Coordinate with PFC Technical Manager, Construction Manager, Principal Design Consultant, and Geotechnical Consultant throughout project execution (during construction through Handover).
• Attend scheduled and ad-hoc meetings on behalf of the PMT.
• Perform periodic inspections of work products.
• Perform periodic inspections of construction materials and procured equipment.
• Witness factory acceptance testing of equipment, as appropriate.
• Participate in on-site equipment function testing.
• Perform day-to-day monitoring of construction activities and Contractor’s quality control procedures.
• Ensure all non-conformances are properly addressed and resolved.
• Conduct Contractor quality audits, periodically and as required.
• Participate in weekly quality meetings.
• Participate in monthly project progress meeting.
• Ensure project quality documents and data are maintained current, accurate, and available to project personnel.
• Participate on System Completion Team throughout completion process.
• Review System Completion database, punchlists, checklists, testing and training requirements.
• Participate in final walkdown for Substantial Completion.
• Work with System Completion team to finalize all as-built documentation, building systems and equipment records, O&M manuals, etc.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Minimum 10 years of experience in construction industry, or 5 years of experience in the construction industry plus degree in construction management or engineering.
• Previous QA/QC experience desirable.
• Familiarity and previous experience with ExxonMobil System Completion process and Turnover Completion Packages (TCPs) a plus.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to work effectively with Contractor and as a team player on the PFC PMT.
• Strong command of the English language.
• Ability to live and work effectively in similar environment as PNG.
• Cross-cultural understanding experience with multi-national corporations desirable.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office or software relevant to project management.
