The Company:
Our client, a major international Engineering, Procurement & Construction company, requires expertise for their ongoing mega-projects in Alberta.

This position is open to Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents only.

The Role:
The Quality Manager will control, direct, supervise, co-ordinate, monitor, guide and partake in the day to day application of Quality Management to project activities and, to support Project Manager in achieving Project Quality requirements.

The Quality Manager 's responsibilities:

· Prepare, issue and revise the contract Quality Management Plan, Inspection/Verification Strategy and Assurance Strategies in conjunction with the project manager
· Assist in the development of Project Goals and Objectives in line with PDAS requirements
· Ensure Quality risks are managed in accordance with the risk management system
· Direct project process owners in establishing their delivery processes and procedures
· Ensure that project personnel are provided with the tools and knowledge required to execute the project to legislation, procedures and compliance
· Ensure that a robust and effective Quality Assurance process is established and implemented. Recommend corrective and preventative action where necessary to ensure its effective implementation and improvement
·Provide input and support the subcontractor/supplier evaluation processes and monitor subcontractor/supplier performance
·Plan and lead (as necessary) assessment visits/audits to suppliers and sub-contractors as agreed
·Ensure that the necessary processes and systems are in place for the preparation and filing of comprehensive records to satisfy Project and client Quality Management requirements, as well as regulatory requirements
· Comply with the Quality Management Roles and Responsibilities specific to positions as defined in the Project Delivery Plan

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
The Quality Manager must have:

·Technically qualified professional with at least 10 years experience in the oil & gas engineering/construction industry
· Must have the ability to manage, to interface with others and to communicate well at all levels
· Must have the commitment to identify, analyze and propose solutions to problems in a constructive and positive manner
