The Company:
Our client has a position vacant for a Quality Manager. If you are interested in taking on a challenging role in a demanding environment then this could be the position for you. The role will be based in Aberdeen, within the QHSE department and will report directly to QHSE Manager.

The Role:
To take all reasonable care during the performance of their work for the Health and Safety of themselves and others affected by their acts or omissions. To co-operate fully with the client, regulatory authorities and/or third parties to ensure compliance with applicable legislation.
•Demonstrate behaviour consistent with company vision and core values.
•To develop, implement, maintain, direct and control the Aberdeen Base operational activities with regard to quality. Such activities include establishment of quality policy, quality objectives, quality planning, quality control, quality assurance and quality improvement.
•To provide assurance that the established quality management system is implemented and maintained in accordance with company, customer, statutory and regulatory requirements.

Plan, co-ordinate, direct and control QC and QA activities that provide assurance that customer, company, statutory and regulatory requirements relating to the quality of project deliverables are identified, established, implemented and maintained.
•Develop and maintain the company QMS to meet minimum requirements of company quality policy, quality manual and BS EN ISO 9001 with goal to continually improve.
•Oversee, appraise train and continually develop QC and QA personnel.
•Responsible to establish, develop and maintain generic Quality Plans.
•Responsible to establish, develop and maintain Project/Customer specific Quality Plans and Inspection Test Plans.
•Liaise with customer’s third party representatives and certifying authorities (SI913) to obtain release of goods or services.
•Liaise with those performing second party and third party audits on the company QMS and project deliverables.
•Monitor documentation requirements are complete prior to release by third parties and or supplied to the customer.
•Monitor and report progress of non-conformance, corrective action and preventive action raised on the QMS and project deliverables to management.
•Monitor and report progress of customer complaints management
•Establish and maintain team of trained and competent internal and supplier quality auditors.
•Establish internal quality and supplier audit programmes, monitor auditors performance and effective closure of audit findings.
•Perform Internal & Supplier Quality Audits

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Good secondary education “O” level standard
•Experience in quality control/quality assurance role in Subsea Engineering environment
•Experience in a supervisory role managing personnel in Quality roles
•ISO 9001: 2008 Internal Auditor certificate (IRCA Approved) or acceptable alternative
•ISO 9001: 2008 Auditor/Lead Auditor certificate (IRCA Approved) or acceptable alternative
•Good communication skills
•Good PC skills
