The Company:
Our client is an integrated independent solar power producer, delivering affordable, rapidly deployable and sustainable source of clean energy worldwide. A long term player, we develop, build, own, operates and maintains solar power plants, and already has an installation track record of close to 600 MW.

The Role:
Main purpose of position
The QA manager will provide core quality management services that will be used to support the development and project work streams in all their relevant activities. The core support services will include the management of; Quality Assurance and Process Management including Governance and Competence, and Quality Control.
The Quality Manager will be responsible for all employees within these services as well as managing contractors and other third party suppliers ensuring that all the Renewable projects are managed in such a way that value is maximized and our reputation is protected

Responsibilities
• Prepare the Quality Plan
• Review and approval of Quality Plans from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Maintenance of quality documentation.
• Provide expert opinion on Quality issues
• Participate in Quality reviews and produce Quality reports as required
• Maintain the register of quality any potential issues
• Quality checks on the project site and at the sub suppliers
• Acting as the source of best practice on all aspects of Quality Management.
• Establish the quality strategy, goals and objectives, and plan the implementation thereof.
• Champion initiatives to raise quality awareness and enhance the profile of quality management within the business.
• Work with project teams and stakeholders to establish systems for ensuring that appropriate quality management systems and processes are in place on each project at the appropriate time.
• Ensure that contractor systems are aligned and sufficiently robust to ensure the appropriate quality is delivered at all phases of the project life cycle.
• Establish and drive through internal audit plans and schedules to ensure compliance.
• Review quality assurance processes for new and existing service providers and key vendors.
• Make recommendations for selection based on quality criteria and develop corrective action plans as required.
• Work with project teams to develop and implement improvement plans.
• Review and approve project related quality strategies and plans.
• Ensure sufficient resources are in place to deliver effective quality management.
• Ensure quality mind-set and assurance capabilities are in place.
• Leads peer-assist review teams to support quality activities on projects.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Qualifications (1. Formal educational background 2. Work experience 3. Competencies)
1. Formal educational background
o University Degree or equivalent in economic-technical engineering and/or business/economics

2. Work experience
o At least 3 years’ experience in Quality management.
o Quality management professional with wide experience in process management, inspection, site construction and installation
o Verifiable record in quality management on a number of complex projects in ‘medium’ to ‘high focus’ environments
o Experience in the development and implementation of project QA/QC plans
o Competent to lead specialist peer-assist and review teams

3. Competencies
o Good knowledge in ISO 9001:2008
o Hands-on: understanding of an being interested in how things work out in the field
o Dedicated and someone who takes “ownership” to tasks and responsibilities
o Self-reliant and efficient and structured
o Fluency in reading and writing English
o Willingness
