The Company:
Due to continued growth and success, a Quality Manager is required on a permanent basis for our East Midlands based multi-million pound Automotive client, who are specialists in supplying Interior Trim Components and OE Surface Finishing to major vehicle manufacturers.

The Role:
As a Quality Manager within the Surface Finishing Division you will develop and maintain the Management System according to the central guidelines. You will ensure the early identification of weak points, introducing all necessary corrective measures.

Daily duties and responsibilities will include:

-Ensuring the observance of all quality relevant aspects with internal and external changes taking into consideration the cost projections and deadlines.
-Setting up and maintaining contacts and relations with the customer mainly in the Quality area,
-Look after and co-ordinate the reporting system within the evaluation of the management system to the management and the senior Quality.

You will also be responsible for the testing and standards of all surface finishing's to IP parts and exterior ornamentation.

As part of the PPAP of automotive components, you will carry out testing to confirm:

-Adhesion integrity by cross hatch and pressure wash testing
-Scratch resistance
-UV light penetration
-Humidity parameters
-Resistance to fuel drip
-Gloss level and paint thickness

This will all be carried out in our own internal laboratory and testing facilities.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
The successful Quality Manager for the interior Surface Finishing Division will have demonstrable experience within the following:

-Fully qualified to the appropriate level i.e. with an Automotive Engineering Degree or equivalent.

Must have demonstrated in previous roles the ability to implement & maintain.
A- Quality Assurance
B- Production Forecasting & Planning
C- Standards up to TS16949 accreditation via document & practical control
D- Bills of Materials (B.O.M)
E- Quotation Analysis Forms (Q.A.F)

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Previous experience with either robotic or manual paint coating application for the Automotive Industry.
