The Company:
Our client, an exploration and energy company is currently looking for a Quality Manager for their Project & Wells Team in Aberdeen. This permanent opportunity requires previous experience as a Quality Manager, preferably for an operator. As part of the Projects & Wells Team the post holder will challenge but also assist that team in delivering the varied portfolio of projects.

The Role:
This role exists to ensure that Quality Assurance and Control is applied within company's Projects & Wells. The Job holder will devise and implement a Quality management strategy for Projects & Wells. They will also deliver continued definition, development, ownership and promotion of the Q aspects of our integrated HSEQ Management System within Projects & Wells. In that delivery the job holder is expected to be innovative –augmenting a Quality culture that reflects company’s diverse project development models.

Main Responsibilities

The creation, management and delivery of project quality plans
Design and implement quality requirements and KPl's for contractors and work together to set activity plans to manage client’s quality risks
Reviewing and agreeing supplier Quality/Inspection test plans and be the focal point for ensuring that they and other inspection requirements are appropriate and implemented rigorously
Managing and often leading Projects & Wells’ HSEQ audit programmes both internal and external
Coordinate implementation of Projects & Wells HSEQ actions, including those from audits and NCRs
Review contractor's quality performance and assure continuous improvement actions are implemented
Identify quality issues with CEU processes and ways of working
Manage the Nonconformity Reporting process, quality related investigations and problem solving
Analyse lessons learned and drive continuous improvement within Projects & Wells
You will work together with the wider CEU Quality community to help shape and implement a coherent approach to quality. May be required to fulfil a role on the emergency response team

Main Challenges

This is a dynamic, hands on role supporting a portfolio of projects at any one time
There will be a reactive aspect to the role to resolve quality issues in line with project deliverables but also a strong focus on a proactive identification and removal/mitigation of quality risks to individual projects and CEU as a whole
Full implementation and alignment with the CEU HSEQMS will be key in this deliverable. The client is an international company and as such supporting Projects & Wells will require a degree of travel and working across sites and functions.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Previous experience in a Quality Manager role
Experience in developing quality plans, in managing audit programmes and leading audits and quality inspections
Experience of working closely with major contractors
Experience of offshore oil and gas projects
Member of the Chartered Quality Institute

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Trained Lead Auditor, quality professional, working knowledge of Quality Management Systems
Up to date working knowledge of current quality improvement methodologies
Awareness of key project HSE activities and deliverables
degree or equivalent in applicable subject is preferred
