The Role:
Fircroft is seeking an NDT Inspector for subsea equipment for an Oil & Gas operator within Africa

Location: Angola
Type of Contract: RESIDENTIAL
Duration: 6 Month Rolling contract
Rate of Pay: TBC

DUTIES
To ensure that the SPS Contractor is enforcing his contractual commitments, is implementing properly his overall Quality responsibilities, stated Inspection and Test plan and objectives, is safely, properly and timely performing his activities as per Company specifications, design and codes.
As such, he shall:
Participate to KOM / PPM / PIM with Contractor/Supplier with regards to Quality (QA/QC) and inspection and Non Destructive Testing matters;
Review the relevant Contractor's and suppliers ITP's and Quality procedures;
Ensure that the manufacturing activities are closely inspected by the Contractor’s QC inspection team;
Review and ensure that all certification files are up to date, including documentation from vendors and contractors;
Monitor and control the implementation on site of the Non Destructive Testing,
Surveillance plans, Inspection and test plans;
Challenge Contractor and suppliers on overall quality performance and inspection activities, and to perform routine and random inspections on a daily basis in this regard;
Monitor any work deficiencies and ensure the implementation of the necessary corrective actions via review of raised NCRs;
Monitor and ensure final documentation progress in timely manner; Follow up on the implementation of agreed action plans, or other mitigation plan issued;
Report immediately to CSR any anomaly or non-conformity;
Attend and participate in daily discipline meetings or various construction meetings, and provide support to the CSR in its various reviews;
Participate to construction, HSE or QA/QC specific audits or visits;
Provide regular inspection & activity reports.
To implement and maintain the required weekly Quality reporting system and to follow SPS
Contractor’s Quality activities through his reporting.
To ensure the tracking of anomalies and non conformities performed by the SPS Contractor and ensure a correct follow-up of corrective actions.
In General:

To assist the CSR as and when required with regards to his discipline
To provide technical support and assistance to any query related to his discipline;
To implement his discipline methods for the supervision of the day to day activities;
To analyze / resolve QC and Non Destructive Testing issues and problems encountered by Company personnel.
To report to the CSR, in particular when deviations to works’ procedures or quality problems are encountered and detected.
To prepare and issue release note and/or appropriate certificate with appropriate punch list if needed at time of release
To ensure confidentiality of all the documentation issued under his area of responsibility

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Must be able to work on a residential basis (this position is not rotational)~
Candidates Must be over 30 years of age and Under 60 years of age to be able to obtain a visa
All certificates must be valid
