The Company:
A major Oil & Gas Company for the Subsea Production Systems part of an Offshore project

The Role:
• To ensure the performance of the CONTRACTOR and Subcontractors is achieving the Project Quality requirements.
• Coordinate all quality control activities.
• The SPS Quality Surveillance Engineer has an Hierarchical Link to the Package QA/QC Lead Engineer and a Functional Link to the UFR Senior Welding Engineer, NDE Engineer and Coating Specialist for all technical matters involving quality control activities.
• Comply with HSE requirements
• Take part in the implementation of the Safety Culture pocess “IMPACTS” within Moho Nord Project

• In coordination with Package QA/QC Lead Engineer, arrange and manage QC Package activities and perform direct interventions as required. Ensure that Package QC coverage is sufficient and that the Inspectors are of the required discipline.
• Assist in anticipating and planning of QC resources in order to meet Project Quality needs during all Project phases
• Assist the Package QA/QC Lead Engineer in developing and implementing a suitable Audit Programme to cover Internal, External and Surveillance audit activities during all Project phases.
• Assist the Package QA/QC Lead Engineer in implementing the continual improvement processes, (Lessons Learned, Customer Satisfaction)
• Coordination of Package QC activities to ensure that CONTRACTOR Quality Control Requirements are identified and implemented in accordance with Package specified requirements.
• Review records of internal and external audits performed by the CONTRACTOR.
• In coordination with Package QA/QC Lead Engineer, analyse and resolve issues and problems emerging during the quality control activity.
• In coordination with Package QA/QC Lead Engineer, review Non Conformance reports and dispositions. Intervene as necessary where warranted.
• In coordination with Package QA/QC Lead Engineer, ensure proper root cause analysis of CONTRACTOR Quality failures is undertaken, and conclusions are reached and corrective actions undertaken.
• In coordination with Package QA/QC Lead Engineer, participate in CONTRACTOR investigations of significant Quality failures and offshore/installation failures.
• Review and validate manufacturing records.
• Review and comment all related manufacturing record books.

HSE requirements:
• Support and enforce the HSE Project objectives and directives.
• Support and implement the Project HSE management system.
• Comply with the HSE traning required for his position
• Embrace Safety Culture process “IMPACTS”

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Education to HND/BTS level or COMPANY approved equivalent in engineering discipline..

Professional Experience (number of years):
Minimum 10 years of experience associated with Quality Control, coordination of quality activities within Engineering, Construction, Commissioning and Start-up projects of various facilities in the Oil and Gas Industry.

Vocational qualifications: Welding, NDE and Coatings qualification (PCN, COFREND, CSWIP, BGAS or equivalent)

The ability to communicate well at all levels within the COMPANY and to demonstrate leadership. In addition, the candidate must possess very good planning, presentation, negotiations and organizational skills.
Confident in welding / material / NDE and site coatings.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
A familiarity with General Specifications (GS) and International codes/standards. Be skilled in using computer programs for word processing, database management, spreadsheets and e-mail communications. Conducting Quality meetings with CONTRACTOR. Review material certificates and Inspection and Test Plans
