The Role:
We currently have a requirement for a site based, Project Quantity Surveyor within the Power Transmission division, offering the opportunity to work on assorted projects/framework for a blue chip client. You will be accountable to the Lead / Senior Quantity Surveyor.

• Ensuring cost control is maintained on a project basis throughout all functions (procurement, delivery, design, etc.)
• Supporting the project manager in respect of both project and commercial deliverables.
• Providing support and mentoring Assistant Q.S within the respective Project.
• Management, collation, interpretation and analysis of project commercial records
• Production of monthly cost & value forecasts, including monthly project review reports.
• Identification of risks and opportunities to project spend / budgets.
• Providing sub-contractor management to the Project.
• Production of impact assessments, early warning, risk expenditure and compensation event submissions.
• Managing the compliance and suitability surrounding processes and procedures on a project basis.
• Liaising with the company Accountants to establish accurate cost and cash neutrality reporting.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Good communication, interaction /team working, presentation and negotiation skills.
• Track record of developing working relationships quickly and effectively.
• Knowledge of the NEC 3 forms of contract.
• Project experience, with involvement in change control and risk management
• Experience in the compliance & presentation of cost and value reports, analysis across a portfolio of projects.
• Formal Q.S Qualification (HND or BSc)
• Full clean driving license
• Knowledge surrounding management of risk budgets and associated analysis desirable
• Experience in the tender processes
• Flexibility to work at sites across the UK
