The Role:
A Quantity Surveyor is required to provide support to the Contracts Engineer in the commercial administration of construction, commissioning and service contracts at the project site in accordance with applicable company and project procedures, systems, budgets and schedules.

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
• Tracking & reporting on cost per man-hour (audit PAF register, liaise with planners to obtain projected manning levels to establish o/head ratios)
• Norms validation / ongoing review and recommendation for challenge / improvement
• Collation and processing of project force report, cross reference against projected manning levels
• Work closely with cost administrator to assess points of difference in estimate v actual
• Work closely with Productivity Lead to improve processes. Access to WAVES, minute meetings, maintain register, establish cost benefits & work with Perth team to ensure alignment
• Development / update of the project daily progress reports.
• Review of contractors accounts to verify entitlements under the Contract.
• Negotiate and agree AFC measure with contractors.
• Carry out verification of contractor’s accounts against AFC measure confirming quantities and values.
• Support the contracts engineer in the development of ‘Star Rates’ for items not included in the contract
• Review day works submissions and check against time recording systems and check extensions of hours and rates.
• Produce accurate estimates of field instructions to facilitate cost forecasting.
• Produce supporting documentation to Field Variation Orders, Price Variation summaries and final accounts.
• Deputise for contracts engineer as required.
• Provide cost data from reconciliation of contract bills of quantities and AFC remeasure.
