The Role:
* Prepare detailed chronologies and summaries of relevant correspondence, including emails, and other documents to support the defense of claims submitted by the Contractor and to prosecute claims against the Contractor
* Liaise with IM&T in relation to document collection and management
* Provide general quantity surveying and quantum analysis and support in relation to Change Order Requests (COR's) submitted by the Contractor
* Support the Senior Commercial/Claims Advisor and the Senior Disputes Lawyers as necessary during all phases of a dispute.

The Quantity Surveyor - Onshore Claims & Disputes Support is responsible for the following activities;:
* Assist with compiling and responding to COR's, Claims and the like.
* Analyses the pricing/schedule impact of Work Instructions, COR's and Claims.
* Prepare recommendation/synopsis papers for the Senior Commercial / Claims Advisor primarily in respect to COR's
* Upkeep relevant Contracts Management systems.
* Support cost forecasting activities.
* Comply with this companies Contracts Management processes and procedures and ensure overall governance is maintained.
* Advanced experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
* Experience with CMS databases such as Coreworx and Ringtail would be beneficial

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* Experience in all aspects of quantity surveying, both pre and post contract, with experience of re-measurements BQ, schedule of rates, cost management systems and processes (>5 years) coupled with a working knowledge of engineering and or services/consultancy practices, preferably in oil and gas industry.
* Experience with preparation and review and analysis of claims including delay, disruption, extensions of time and analysis of quantum.
* Experience of large multi-million dollar construction disputes
* Experience of large multi-billion dollar construction projects would be of benefit
* A good level of understanding of construction law with an ability to apply it in a practical non-academic way to support the business objectives
* Have detailed knowledge of EPC contracts
* An understanding of construction adjudication and arbitration practice and procedure

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
* Previous eDiscovery experience would be an advantage but is not essential
A recognised quantity surveying qualification (BSc or similar), MRICS or AIQS professional membership and 5 to 10 years of relevant experience.
