Our Client is an International Oil and Gas Operator involved in 2 of Australia's largest LNG Projects based in Western Australia. The Role:
A new opportunity has arisen for a 6 month contract for a Quarantine Inspector based in Dampier.

Key Job Responsibilities includes:

• Undertake inspections of personnel, personal effects, vessels, aircraft, equipment and materials mobilizing from Dampier to Barrow Island (BWI) to determine quarantine compliance.

• Undertake targeted surveillance and monitoring activities (including quarantine housekeeping) at various Dampier operational locations.

• Supervision and monitoring of quarantine treatments to ensure quarantine compliance.

• Supporting quarantine awareness strategies by promoting quarantine culture amongst Dampier Contractor community. This includes delivery of toolbox material and participation in induction and training sessions.

• Assist with investigations of quarantine non-compliances and/or quarantine incidents.

• Curation and transfer of interception specimens to Perth for taxonomic identification.

• Completion of inspection checklists to demonstrate inspection activities and data entry of Border Quarantine Events.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
This position requires extensive working knowledge of the Quarantine Management System and lower tier operational documents in the execution of inspection activities and determination of quarantine compliance for passengers, aircraft, vessels, cargo, material and equipment mobilizing to BWI.
Attention to detail and the ability to work autonomously or as part of an integrated team within a changing roster deployment pattern is highly desirable.
The applicant must have a current valid driver’s licence and be able to gain security clearance of a Maritime Safety Identification Card.
