The Company:
Our client is looking for highly skilled contract personnel to join their operations in Atyrau, Kazakhstan.

The Role:
This role will enable effective records control within the Project. Most importantly the records management function will ensure that business records are managed throughout their lifecycle in accordance to preservation, security and retention practices as stipulated in records management framework.
The Records Management Lead is a high profile position at the heart of projects and operations with responsibility for Records Management processes and standards from identification to disposal. He/she will be responsible for helping developing records management processes and procedures whilst interfacing with the business and all contractors and suppliers. The context will be highly international where English, Russian, and potentially Kazakh language records will be required to be maintained –often in translation.

It is envisaged that the range of services used to manage documents and records within the Venture will include:
- Livelink
- EP Catalog
- Assai
- Engineering Data Warehouse (EDW)
- Autonomy.
- Metacarta

- Provide Records Management advice, training and handholding when required.
- Provide Records Management analysis and facilitate services for the business
- Coordinate, Assist and advise Records Focal Points in the business
- Maintain File Plan administration
- Monitor Records Management process and report on records management performance indicators
- To ensure quality in line with procedures, work-instructions and best practices

The job holder is accountable for:
1. Manage records management processes, standards and systems.
2.Ensure availability and quality of File Plans
3.Manage the records repositories, both electronic and physical.
4.Day-to-day correct and effective delivery of records management services

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
The job holder must have:
•Master degree in Records Management or, as a second choice, a Master degree in Library Science
•Extensive IM experience (document and records management, data management, IM planning, IM compliance & assurance, IM service delivery) of which:
oSignificant experience in E&P or Mining – preferably in Capital Projects
oProven experience in a team leading role
•Previous experiences in IM for the Kashagan project or other large capital project in RoK is an advantage

The job holder must have proven:
•Records Management experience
•Experience and good working knowledge of Project DCSs and EDMSs, and processes. (Assai and Livelink experience preferablebut not essential)
•Experience of managing a Document Control / Management Department within a project based engineering environment.
•Experience in producing and executing Project DC and EDM Procedures.
•Ability towork within a multicultural environment.
•Fluent in English. Good knowledge of record mgmt
