The Company:
Fircroft (Canada) Ltd, located at 500 Panarctic Plaza, 815 – 8th Avenue SW, Calgary, AB T2P 3P2, provides specialist personnel to the international oil & gas, petrochemical, power generation and construction industries. Our clients are predominantly major operating companies and international engineering or construction companies.

The Role:
At Fircroft, the recruitment staff regularly: research and target candidates, employ these candidates as contract or permanent hires, look after their start and mobilization needs (many are internationals working in Canada requiring work permit documentation), write their employment terms (contracts) with our clients, facilitate their pay roll set-up and contract deliverables, as well as monitor individual progress; as well as liaise with clients,.

As a new employee, joining a small office team, this position is designed to help management with growth activities in Canada by successfully performing the following activities prioritized as :
60 % Candidate research, networking, and recruitment activities as directed by management
25% Client development and customer service
15 % Administrative support

Primary duties:
• Research and networks for prospective candidates for job orders as assigned by Management creating short lists of candidates to contacts.
• Posts staffing/job orders received from our clients to both the website and RMS Database.
• Proof, edits, and format resumes for submission to clients.
• Takes employment references for select candidates and verifies job order specified certifications required, initiates background checks, etc.
• Creates employment contracts for contractors as per Manager's guidance and direction.
• Initiates and assists preparation of documentation for work permit applications for Managers.
• Initiates and controls Contractor and Staff Travel arrangements for mobilization and demobilization, rotations per client schedules, business travel, including monitoring arrivals and departures, and interviews and views local accommodations provider.
• Assists and readies Placement files to ISO 9001 standards and ready for client audit. Supports accounting creating contractor files including monitoring work orders for dollar value limits, collects time sheets and verifies calculations, diarizes when certifications require updating, etc.
• General correspondence and reporting, as assigned.
• Targets assigned: 2 Placements per month

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Recognized post-secondary education
• 2 years full-cycle technical recruitment experience
• Strong verbal and written English language communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to network for candidates within the community
• Solid Microsoft working skills within Outlook, MS Word and Excel.
