The Company:
Our client, a diverse Canadian Energy Company, plans new developments estimated at $12+ Billion over the next 5 years.

This position is open to Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents only. Residents of Newfoundland & Labrador will be given first consideration for this position.

The Role:
As the Recruitment Specialist, you will provide Human Resources support for all facets of the recruitment initiative and advisory support on Human Resources matters for the Project.

As the Recruitment Specialist you will:
• Execute the Integrated Recruitment Strategy;
• Lead all staff and contractual recruitment initiatives for the Project including but not limited to: the development of job descriptions, job advertisements, screening of applicants, and the development of interview questions;
• Liaise with Component Managers to determine projected recruitment requirements for upcoming quarters;
• Prepare personnel requisitions for new hires;
• Participate in the screening and interviewing of all new hires;
• Liaise with recruitment agencies and Business Services for all contractual hires;
• Conduct reference checks for all new team members;
• Organize and attend any Project career fairs; and
• Develop strategy for the successful sourcing of team members for the Project Delivery Team.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Completion of a Bachelor of Commerce of Business Administration with specialization in Human Resources and/or industrial relations. An equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.
• Minimum of ten (10) years' experience in the Human Resources of major industrial projects.
• Demonstrated ability to analyse and resolve complex issues.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• CHRP designation and Registered Professional Recruiter Designation.
• Previous experience working in a multidisciplinary team interfacing with numerous functions a fast paced project working environment.
• Previous experience conducting recruitment for major industrial projects.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and be eligible to drive in Newfoundland and Labrador and Canada.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.
