The Regional North America Category Manager: Water and Environmental position will provide Market Intelligence and SME level Supplier insights to effectively manage suppliers in support of our North America business objectives, improve safety and reduce our total cost of ownership.
Position will focus on environmental categories including water supply, storage, logistics, treatment, and waste disposal in support of the North America D&C and production program.
Develop and manage relationships with internal stakeholders to align strategies and improve communications with regards to category cost drivers, requirements, issues, and forecasts.
Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key contractors and suppliers to ensure best service, commercial terms, surety of supply and optimal leverage across all projects.
Develop RFI, RFP/ITT, negotiation, and contracting templates.
Facilitate issues resolution related to the applicable services as part of a planned escalation process with suppliers
Enhance and improve the tools and processes by capturing, sharing and evaluating best practices and lessons learned with Process leadership.
Work with Supply Chain leadership to implement category specific plans and strategies and assist them in implementing through regional procurement plans.
Maintain supplier profiles on a quarterly basis for use by business and SCM professionals and CPO.
Contribute to Market Intelligence reports and products as required.
Develop and in some cases facilitate the implementation of KPIs in contracts and in Advanced Supplier Relationships to ensure benchmark performance from contractors.
Development of standard contract templates to ensure consistency across all projects.
Assist HES and operations to manage environmental risk through contract terms.
Support the tendering process for smaller contracts through sharing of evaluation templates, common KPI’s, RFP /ITT templates and contracting best practices with SCM professionals (SCM mgrs and Contracts Specialists).
Oversees the contract execution and administration process to insure that it is being performed in accordance with requirements and meets key SCM performance metrics.
Line of sight understanding of Completions and Operational activities via Contract Sponsors/Business Users and other functions to ensure contracting processes are implemented in timely fashion to meet business requirements (Contracting Strategies, Risk Assessments, Tendering Process, Negotiation, and Contract Documents etc.)
Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Degree: Bachelors Degree or equivalent.
Work Experience: Minimum of five years of experience in the industry with major domestic oil & gas operations and specifically Environmental Services Category management. Experience in a Supplier organization as an employee or as a user. A comprehensive understanding of upstream E&P business and environmental risk management.
Travel: up to 30%
