The Role:
Overview:

The Regional GM is a leadership role responsible for creating, developing and bringing to commercial reality business opportunities aligned with the Division’s strategic business plan.
The Regional GM is responsible for leading transactions and operations within their Region, managing key stakeholders deemed necessary to deliver the outcomes for the Region.
You will be accountable for revenue creation, operational expenditure, commercialisation and governance within the Region.

Tasks / Responsibilities:

Delivering solution(s) that support commercialisation of Clean Energy technology into the region, this
Implementation of external partnering arrangements to support Regional needs.
Monitor and report on key deliverables to the Head of Marketing and Sales.
Ensure Clean Energy conforms with internal and external governance requirements.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Degree qualified in Engineering, Finance, Business Management or other relevant discipline;
• Postgraduate qualifications desirable
• Highly developed commercial acumen and deal origination and execution skills
• Transaction leadership and management
• Exceptional network across the Regions’ energy sector, including Government stakeholders and industry (oil, gas and electricity) stakeholders

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• Extensive commercial experience in the oil & gas industry
• Demonstrated experience and knowledge of the region
• Strong business development experience within the Region (ideally energy sector)
• Understanding of the gas value chain and execution of transactions within it
• Project development experience
• Dealing with Governments and policy makers within the energy sector
• Highly developed commercial acumen including financial and budgetary analysis skills
• Understanding of project financing techniques and experience in execution of financing on large complex infrastructure projects
• Experience in negotiating terms / contracts down the supply chain
• Significant experience in leading and managing commercial contract negotiations
• Preparation of business cases for investment to management
• Experience in the management of projects from initial concept to implementation with particular focus on delivery of commercial outcomes and objectives
