The Company:
Our client is a global energy and petrochemicals company who have formed a recent Joint Venture working together globally in the drilling and completions activities that the new JV undertakes in Australasia.

The Role:
As the Regional HR Manager you will be responsible for the overall HR operations in JVCo.’ Subsidiaries - Australia. Reporting to the HR General Manager, you, together with the Project General Manager and other Management team members, will ensure full compliance with all applicable labour laws and regulations, and other company principles.

Responsibilities:
• Translate business objectives into fit-for-purpose HR plans in line with broader JV business strategy
• Monitor organizational effectiveness and provide effective support for major organizational changes & capacity expansion, in particular, establish strong strategy and platform to make workforce ready along with business expansion
• Resource, assess, develop, and engage staff so that there are sufficient people competent to deliver success of business priorities, including workforce planning, recruitment, on-boarding, performance/competence appraisal, talent management, learning & development interventions, reward & benefit, ER/IR, internal communications, teambuilding etc
• Provide efficient HR systems, processes, and services such as policy advice, staff transition, payroll management, and office administration
• Manage labour agency with all-round HR solutions for agency staff management
• Build and maintain a strong relationship with relevant local government bodies
• Manage labour cost and other HR expenses
• Structure, resource, develop, and lead regional HR team

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Relevant degree and minimum of 12 years experience in similar role
• Solid HR general management experience in multinational companies, in particular, energy or oilfield service industry experience
• Good knowledge of Queensland local labor laws and regulations
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills
• Ability to work in complex environment
