The Company:
Our client is a leading manufacturer of pumps for general industrial, chemical and petrochemical application. With a particular focus on the Middle East market, they are keen to recruit a high calibre Regional Sales Manager to join their talented team.

The Role:
Title Middle East Sales Manager

Reports to Sales Director

Job Purpose:

To identify new, and develop existing, sustainable international markets, in accordance with
agreed “global-regional” plans, in order to support the company’s existing team in the Middle
East region, together with the strategic growth of the business.


1. 10% year-on-year growth of sales-orders from the territory.

2. Growing company presence within the territory through the successful supply of pump solutions.

3. Ensuring the on-time delivery to customers of required quote submissions.

4. Punctual hand-over of sales orders to internal colleagues within the Engineering, Design and the Contracts Teams.

5. Maintaining controlled enquiry reporting and updating within the customer- database.

6. Developing the strategy for, and planning of, visits to targeted customers and prospects.

7. Initiating and maintaining relationship with key contractors within and outside the Middle East who supply to the territory.

8. Maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to technical scope detail and associated order-costings.

9. Building and maintaining customer relationships though regular customer-interface and customer- care.


1. Generating sales orders through active customer engagement and project tracking.

2. Effective management of sales enquiries; review, interpretation and suitable product

3. Timely commercial quote preparation and submission to customers.

4. Day-to-day management of the customer-database and own workload.

5. Planning effective customer visits throughout the territory to new and existing
Individual customers.

6. Effective forecasting and management of targeted jobs and enquiries.

7. Presenting the Company’s products and services to new and existing customers.

8. Identifying and setting up effective local Agent/s where required in the target territories.

9. Delivering product and company updates and training to the territory agent, once established.

10. Being readily available to visit UK main office for sales handovers, training and when otherwise required.

11. Interacting effectively with national oil companies, local EPC contractors and OEMs locally to the region.

12. Representing the Company positively at all times.

13. Working closely with existing company personnel and representatives in the Middle East Region.

Successful candidate must have experience in capital sales in the O&G market. Pumps or Rotating equipment sales experience is highly advantageous.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
5 x GCSEs, grades A-E, ideally in • 2 x A levels, grades A-E, ideally in
mathematical or science subjects (or Mathematical, Business subjects or
international equivalent an Engineering Qualification, HND
qualifications) or International equivalent.

• Sale of capital equipment within the
• Supervision of sales agents.
Petrochemical, Oil & Gas Industry.
• Mechanical equipment sales in APIMechanical equipment or pump sales.
Centrifugal pumps.
Understanding of international standards which are relevant to
petrochemical, oil & gas markets.
• Middle East FPSO, on and offshore markets, customers and needs.
• Ability to read and understand detailed specifications.
• The preparation of tenders.
Sales presentations.
Contract Law.
Business Development.
