The Company:
Our client is one of the world's largest integrated energy companies conducting business in countries all around the globe. They are engaged in every aspect of the crude oil & natural gas industry, including exploration & production, manufacturing, marketing & transportation, chemicals manufacturing & sales, geothermal, power generation, renewables & advanced technologies.

The Role:
Our client is developing a significant project portfolio consisting of the full range of greenfield and brownfield on-shore, off-shore and sub-sea projects. Many of the projects are interconnected and require a parallel project development. By the end of 2011 the majority of the portfolio will have passed DG3 and will continue towards project sanctioning. Due to the complexity of the work, regulatory affairs, authority engineering and permitting is a crucial activity for the successful portfolio development and implementation.
DIMENSIONS - Manage the regulatory affairs for Norway projects in close cooperation with, and as advised by, The Client Regulatory Liaison function
- Manage (i.e. coordinate, collate input to, and develop) plans for the various required regulatory approvals (PDO, consents, permits, etc.) for each project.
- Practice a working knowledge of the Norwegian Petroleum Regulations
- Integrate and align the various regulatory approval plans (e.g. PDO, permits, consents) within entire projects portfolio / project timelines
- Develop regulatory approval schedules and milestones for the various projects

- Close and constructive cooperation with The Client Regulatory Liaison function, through which all communications shall be agreed.
- Serving many internal customers (projects) in parallel
- Deliver high quality, timely and consistent documentation to strict deadlines

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- Detailed knowledge of and experience with Norwegian Petroleum Regulations
- 15+ years exposure in and understanding of the Oil and Gas industry (E and P)
- Experience in permitting projects in the development phase, primarily the Plan for Development and Operation (PDO), Plan for Installation and Operation (PIO).
- Highly proficient in Norwegian language (oral and written) as all communication and documentation is in Norwegian
