The Role:
Position provides regulatory support for Texas oil and gas operations based in Midland. Counsels operations staff and project managers on regulatory requirements needed to drill, produce, rework and ultimately abandon oil and gas production wells and water disposal/injection wells. Develops applications for and acquires permits from the Rairoad Commission of Texas. Works directly with the Railroad Commission to resolve issues with applications and well compliance.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Working knowledge of regulations required to drill, produce, rework and abandon oil and gas wells and water disposal/injection wells in Texas. Experience is preparing and filing documents with the Railroad Commission of Texas.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Communication Skills - Ability to convey complex regulatory requirements in clear and concise terms to internal customers. Interacts with a wide range of functions within Chevron including technical engineering, legal, land, production accounting, and various levels of management. • Negotiating Skills - Interacting with officials from the Rairoad Commission of Texas to obtain the most fair and favorable permitting conditions. • Organizational Ability - Ability to work independently and organize multiple activities while delivering timely results to operations and project managers.
