Large international exploration & production company.

The Role:
We are currently looking for an experienced Regulatory Compliance Supervisor for our San Antonio location as part of our Eagle Ford shale resource play. Company has reached a definitive agreement to purchase assets in the core of the Eagle Ford shale formation in Texas in a transaction valued at $3.5 billion.

The successful candidate will be charged with supervising regulatory compliance professionals and providing regulatory support to assist the Eagle Ford Asset Team, the Haynesville Operations Team, and East Texas/North Louisiana (ET/NL) Operations Team in complying with federal, state and local regulations. The candidate will work closely with management, operations and other professionals to clearly define regulatory issues and develop solutions. The Regulatory Compliance supervisor must be able to manage a staff of regulatory professionals (3+) and effectively interact with agency representatives to secure permits and resolve compliance issues. Experience with drilling, completions and producing asset regulatory permits is preferred.


Responsible for leading and supervising regulatory compliance professionals in the Eagle Ford Asset Team and ET/NL Operations Team
Responsible for providing regulatory compliance support to the Eagle Ford Asset Team.
Responsible for working with management and operations team members to develop regulatory compliance guidance documents, to maintain regulatory permitting schedules, to identify potential regulatory issues in proposed activities, and to develop resolutions to identified pitfalls.
Lead and supervise Eagle Ford and ET/NL regulatory professionals and assist in the preparation and submittal of drilling permits, completion reports, injection well permits, waiver requests, and required work reports to regulatory agencies in assigned operating area. Close interaction with professionals in land, drilling & completions, HES, and asset teams will be essential to secure the necessary data and exhibits.
Monitor status of regulatory submittals and follow up with regulatory agencies to ensure timely submittals and approvals.
Primary responsible regulatory compliance professional for the evaluation of regulatory compliance issues in new and existing operating areas as well as assisting in the development of compliance systems/documents to ensure ongoing compliance and communication of departures to Eagle Ford Regulatory Compliance Supervisor and Asset Team as needed.
Primary responsible professional for understanding current regulations and tracking proposed regulations; identify potential impacts to asset and operations teams.
Establish and maintain good working relationships to help ensure that Company lives its values with key stakeholders, including internal team members, contract companies, regulatory agencies and members of the public. Participate in asset and operations meetings.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:

Degree: Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Work Experience: 5+ years preferred. Experience with onshore oil and gas upstream regulatory compliance and a general knowledge of upstream oil and gas operations.
Computer Proficiencies: Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, etc.; Adobe Acrobat
