The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
The procurement of material to support all Prototype vehicle build phases undertake by the client. Coordination of Metrics and communication of same for specific program phase. Maximise the availability of bought-out components ensuring robust parts support for all build phases to enable the company to deliver new model programmes in line with the cycle plan.

- Manage parts portfolio and associated Supply Base to ensure parts availability is maximised for all prototype build events.
- To manage GPIRS data download for current live build schedules, importing data into Master ACCESS data base (STAMPS), filtering and manipulating relevant information into personal data bases to produce weekly status report.
- Optimisation of scheduling parameters within Material Planning Systems dictating priorities to Suppliers ensuring their capacities are effectively utilised in line with build requirements.
- Check integrity of schedules and confirm GPIRS release is received and understood by Supplier.
- Agree monitor and control target stockholding levels and manage delivery promise data input for all GPIRS releases under their control ensuring that Company Programme Health Metrics are reliable and robust.
- To authorise transport and arrange collections and deliveries with specified Logistics providers as appropriate, allocating reference number in register for premium cost freight.
- Challenge all deliveries promised after M.R.D. and establish reasons, escalating supply problems to the appropriate level of Supplier management to improve/maximise parts availability.
- Manage the resolution of supplier impounds, ensuring suppliers are educated to eliminate recurrence.

Skills Required:

- Manage priorities, identify issues and solutions using own initiative, coupled with a desire to make a difference and achieve results.
- Demonstrate drive, a creative flair with a customer focussed approach and good organisational skills and have the ability to multi-task; manage changing priorities whilst maintaining focus.
- Be numerate with a good grasp of Microsoft Office applications
- Communicate well at all levels both verbally and in writing establishing good company/supplier relationships.
- Candidate must hold a full driving license and be willing to travel between sites regularly.
- Ability to perform well under pressure with high levels of responsibility.
- High level of self-motivation and determination together with the ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team
