The Company:
Our client is a fully-fledged provider of EPC field development projects as well as engineering, technologies, solutions and services for the upstream oil and gas industry.
Their range of offerings include deepwater drilling technologies, subsea oil and gas production systems, well services, mooring and offloading systems, wellstream processing technologies, as well as life-of-field solutions through its maintenance, modification and operations business.

The Role:
• Carry out the Engineer’s role on products and general engineering issues as required.
• Design/configure product as required and ensure designs are fit for purpose & meet all statutory requirements.
• Engineering duties on products including specification, design release for purchasing, build and test, draughting checking/approval, documentation and report progress to Project Engineer, Programme Manager.
• Manage internal and external interfaces.
• Familiarity and compliance with project specifications, statutory regulations and relevant standards so that a common approach to design/use of standard product portfolio is adopted whilst satisfying customer requirements.
• Carrying out tasks within agreed time scales and budgets, reporting status in the recognised team written format and deviations to the Project Engineer.
• Duties on bids including concept design, technical write-ups, material and manpower estimates.
• Interact with supply chain team members so that materials/items are released to allow them to be procured in a timely manner conducive to the success of the overall project.
• Interact with the supply chain team members to ensure that suppliers are selected with the working knowledge, processes and tooling required to supply the assemblies, sub-assemblies, and component parts to the expected quality.
• Provide Technical support to manufacturing.
• To work wherever possible with existing designs in order that engineering time is at a minimum.
• Maintain and improve knowledge of industry and company.
• Monitor the company’s engineering processes, procedures and advice on improvements.
• In addition to the duties listed, the jobholder is required to perform other duties assigned by the Mechanical Engineering Manager from time to time.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Degree or HND/HNC and professional experience in a relevant discipline
