The Company:
Our client is in the construction phase of an LNG Liquefaction Export facility, in Hackberry, Louisiana

The Role:
Reliability Engineer - Louisiana

The Reliability Engineer is the technical steward for all primary and ancillary facility processes, fixed and rotating equipment and metallurgy and is accountable for supporting, maintaining and improving the process and equipment. The employee will be responsible to ensure facility documentation process are followed and adhered to as well as managing the plant Quality Management System. The employee will provide leadership and discipline expertise to less experienced support staff, engineering design, maintenance, and operations groups. This is a plant level position.

This position will initially be located near Lake Charles, Louisiana. Transportation Worker Identification Credentials (TWIC) will be required.

25% - Provide daily equipment support to the plant to keep the plant operational. Responsible for the fixed and rotating equipment and supporting the development of all equipment modifications at the facility. Will be engaged in all engineering and facilities improvement projects by contributing engineering expertise and quality control.

25% - Responsible for the document control process for the plant and ensure policies are adhered to and properly followed. Participate in the development of detailed procedures, practices and standards for maintenance and operations. Monitor the Management of Change process. Use computer aided engineering and design software to perform engineering tasks and develop documentation.

15% - Responsible for mechanical and operating issues (not limited to risk engineering, equipment integrity and applicability to specifications, philosophies and standards) and develop knowledge of all the systems and equipment by working closely with the others in the group. Support operations understanding of codes, standards and regulations that are maintenance and equipment related in nature.

10% - Provide technical support, troubleshooting and provide assistance in planning and coordinating work for the Maintenance department. Work with maintenance and operations on reliability issues when they occur. Work with facilities on reliability issues when they occur and be on call as required. Maintain the Quality Management System by training employees on required QA/QC practices, conducting internal self-assessments, and coordinating with departmental document control personnel.

10% - Support the development of proposals for facility improvements including design basis and preliminary estimates for capital projects. During development and construction, support the Program Manager as assigned to minimize overruns in project-related spending.

5% - Develop working relationships with other department personnel within the plant in order to seek out opportunities that will add value to each job completed.

5% - Reinforce awareness of safety and environmental incidents through frequent job observations by talking to personnel working in the plant. Responsible for developing or collecting information in support of permit requirements as assigned.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:

A minimum of five (5) years related work experience in an industrial environment in engineering or operations is preferred; with at least two (2) years of related work experience and expertise in an operating LNG Liquefaction facility of similar magnitude and design.


Possesses good oral and written communication skills. Able to work with a culturally diverse group of technical individuals whose skills cover the range required to engineer, operate and maintain the LNG receiving terminal. Have basic computer skills including project management, database, spreadsheet, presentation and word processing skills, Computer Aided Design (AutoCAD). Familiar with Quality Management Systems and processes. Possesses good planning and organization shills and meets work deadlines. Possesses the personality and ability to relate to and to establish a mutually respectful relationship with 1) management, 2) peers and 3) the various facility level workers
