The Company:
Our client is a Multinational Chemical company which will construct, own and operate a world-scale integrated chemicals complex in Saudi Arabia. Once completed, the complex will represent the largest petrochemical facility ever built in a single phase. Our client will establish a world-scale manufacturing footprint that delivers a full range of value-added, performance products destined for the emerging markets of Asia Pacific, the Middle East, Eastern Europe and Africa.

The Role:
Provide Maintenance / Reliability expertise which may be equipment-based or repair technique-based and impact the availability and maintainability of the system and/or equipment.
1. Provide experience on failures and repair techniques during root cause investigations.
2. Provide technical expertise to plant personnel on troubleshooting failures, repairs, and evaluating whether equipment is designed to meet its intended or existing service conditions.
3. Ensure that repair details such as clearances, tolerances, materials of construction, welding procedures, etc. during repairs are provided and documented. Provide technical support as needed.
4. Ensure repair techniques, repair procedures, and equipment specific training are documented and made available.
5. Provide technical support for specification, identification and purchasing of needed parts.
6. Provide maintainability input to project methodology, Six Sigma and other improvement activities.
7. As appropriate and required, review spare parts list for existing equipment and work with MRO to ensure parts are identified, added and stocked in the MRO system in support of the Reliability Strategy.
8. Develop Reliability procedures based on Most Effective Technology (MET).
9. Enter quality complaints into the QSPP system.
10. Participate with RE in developing the equipment Maintenance Strategy by providing technical and historical information.
11. Participate in developing the maintenance budget to support the Reliability Strategy.
12. Serve as a technical resource to the planner on work packages.
13. During development of turnaround work, provides input on scope of work.
14. Evaluate Condition-Based Monitoring (CBM) activities and determines appropriate action.
15. Comply with EH&S guidelines and overall safety processes.
16. Perform any job-related activities as requested by the immediate supervisor / manager.
Additional duties as per assigned service lines within maintenance engineering technologist divisions:
Machinery/Mechanical Technician/Technologist
• Provide specific subject matter expertise as related machinery and mechanical equipment
• Consult on troubleshooting, repair and improvement of specialized machinery and mechanical equipment
Instrument Reliability Technician/Technologist
• Provide specific subject matter expertise as related to instruments and instrument technology
• Consult on troubleshooting, repair and improvement of specialized instrument
Coatings Technician/Technologist
• Serve as SME for all work related to coatings and painting applications and techniques
• Consult on reliability and improvement issues related to coatings and painting
FRP Technician/Technologist
• Serve as SME for all work related to FRP and similar equipment, applications and techniques
• Consult on reliability and improvement issues related to FRP and related equipment
Refractory Technician/Technologist
• Serve as SME for all work related to refractory and refractory applications and techniques
• Consult on reliability and improvement issues related to refractory and refractory applications
Alignment Technician/Technologist
• Serve as SME for all work related to specialized alignment of critical and unique equipment
• Consult on reliability and improvement issues related to refractory and refractory applications

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Two-year associate’s Technical Degree or 2-3 years additional experience in similar technical/ industrial field of work.
