The Company:
As one of the worlds leading engineering companies, Our Client assists in their customer's use of electrical power and aims to increase industrial productivity in a sustainable way.

The Role:
Will involve identifying issues with solar invertors, monitoring and reporting on fixes. The role will be based in Newington, NSW. The role will have a initial 6 month duration with a view to extend for another 6 months.

The position

To effectively analyse faulty solar inverters and conduct necessary repairs. Proactively identifying the potential root course of common failures and applying corrective action. In close co‐operation with the Italian factory,
Product Manager and Technical Support Team, develop processes for best practice within the Repair Centre.

Main Accountabilities

• Analyse, repair and test faulty inverters to the highest quality standards and meet on time delivery KPIs
• Capture and present failure modes, failure trend analysis, and statistical data in the form of weekly reports
• Collaborate in team meetings on different topics, such as technical issues or organisational development
• Responsible for a wide variety of service related support functions including, but not limited to, technical support for the Customer Service Team, on site repairs and maintenance of equipment


• Ensure safe working procedures and practices are followed at all times including the wearing and maintenance of assigned Personal Protective Equipment; attendance at required health, safety and environment training; report injury, incidents, hazards and near miss events. Model safe work behaviours in all aspects of work and actively identify hazards and risk control
• Maintain quality and customer satisfaction
• Improve repair turn‐around time

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Minimum Diploma in Electrical/Electronics or other related fields of studies
• A background on power electronics or inverter preferred
• Preferably with minimum 5 years of related experience in the power or telecommunications industry
• A demonstrated knowledge of relevant / applicable legal requirements
• Effective communication skills
• Fluent in English
