The Company:
The client is a leader within the Automation and Control Systems field with operations in 100 countries worldwide. They specialise in providing integrated solutions to the Transmission and Distribution and Oil & Gas industry with projects offshore and overseas.

The Role:
Role Outline
Responsibility for ensuring complete, timely and accurate management reporting of a selection of client units within the client's accounting rules.

Main Accountabilities

• Responsibility for the accuracy and completeness of Reporting Unit(s) within the Abacus ERP system.
• Reconciliation of general ledger accounts from the trial balances to monthly submissions for the purpose of SOX compliance.
• Liaise with the business to resolve queries and issues in a professional and timely manner.
• Assist in the collation of data for audits.
• Responsibility for UK and Ireland Government Statistic returns.
• Drafting and processing of authorized journals.
• Updating and processing of allocation cycles
• Assisting with the completion of additional reporting schedules.
• Maintaining an efficient administration system, including paper and computer files. Archiving files regularly and ensuring that all documentation is easy to locate.
• Carry out the responsibilities of the position as defined in the company Health and Safety and Environmental policies and associated Codes of Practice.
• Ad-hoc projects as required.
• Help identify areas supporting continuous improvement initiatives

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• SAP R3 experience (vanilla).
• Diligent, eye for detail and questioning mind
• Good excel skills
• Self-Starter / Pro-active / ability to take initiative
• Team Player
• Ability to multitask.
• Good Oral and Written Communication Skills
• Possess a Professional Finance qualification (CIMA, ACCA)
• Over 2 years post qualification experience

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• Experience of working in similar industry/commercial environment
