The Role:
This role will be based at the clients Houston office and will provide support to projects and activities supported from this office. The position holder will play a key role in providing reservoir and petroleum engineering contribution/expertise to the exploration team of asset activities.

The position holder will be expected to proactively engage and interface with the asset teams, in accordance with functional strategy, guidelines and standards.

Key Accountabilities

- To use expertise to design and ensure delivery of effective reservoir engineering practices (e.g. PVT, Scal, welltesting, production forecasting, material balance, Reservoir simulation modeling, reserves, field development planning) for unconventional reservoirs
- Participate in reservoir and wells monitoring and surveillance
- Implementation and execution of reservoir engineering workflows such as reservoir/well analytical and/or numerical modeling
- Work must be sufficiently robust to be presented to management, at BG internal functional and Readiness Reviews
- Knowledge and experience of unconventional reservoirs would be an advantage
- Working knowledge, reservoir modeling, decline curve analysis, field development planning, production optimization and reserves booking and reporting

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Must be a self- starter with good decision-taking skills with ability to plan and organize workload effectively and a proven ability to work under pressure without sacrificing quality.

- Working knowledge, reservoir modeling, decline curve analysis, field development planning, production optimization and reserves booking and reporting
- Good working knowledge of PVT, SCAL, reserves, reservoir simulation modeling, production optimization, forecasting and integrated modeling
- Experienced and versatile reservoir engineer able to demonstrate experience in variety of fluid types
- Hands-on knowledge of state-of-the-art Reservoir Engineering techniques, software tools and data analysis methods (both analytical and numerical), and their application to problem solving
- Sound understanding of associated subsurface and other related disciplines (eg. geology, geophysics, drilling, facilities, economics), with proven ability to operate effectively in a multi-disciplinary environment
