The Role:
Managing and control of the exploration activities as well as reservoir and petroleum engineering activities of the fields and associated facilities
1. Planning and forecasting duties:
1.1. Develop the strategies, approach and immediate steps to be taken within the E&PE team;
1.2. Manage and execute new exploration and exploitation opportunities together with HQ;
1.3. Reply to any request of information from the Top management concerning the planning and strategic development in E&PE;
2. Industry knowledge:
2.1. Provide technical expertise in exploration and reservoir engineering activities.
2.2. Overall knowledge about Operation Geology, Drilling and Workover operations, techniques and procedures
2.3. Good knowledge about Petrophysics, Geoscience, Reservoir Engineering
2.4. Ensures that E&PE objectives are met as per approved company annual work program
3. Organizational duties:
3.1. Assigning people to perform specific tasks/duties;
3.2. Delegating the discharge of duties of which the job holder will remain;
3.3. Setting internal deadlines for all duties coordinated and delegated by the job holder;
4. Coordination duties:
4.1. Coordination of corporate E&R work programs, budgets and all related activities
4.2. Liaison with the Administration Department on matters relating to personnel, budgets, IT, tenders for services & materials, invoices
5. Reporting duties:
5.1. Reporting on any ongoing activities/status/project within the E&PE Department;
5.2. Annual accountability report for all exploration activities in Kazakhstan Branch
6. People development:
6.1. Assessing the performance of the staff within E&PE
6.2. Ascertain the teaching, training, coaching and developing of junior or trainee staff
6.3. Ensuring that Kazakh national personnel is being infused into the department and developed for career employment within the company on a global basis.

Be responsible for health, safety, security and protection of the environment at the workplace, participate in HSSE trainings according to competency maps, and contribute to integrate HSSE into the company culture.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Degree Qualified in Reservoir Engineering or similar
10+ Years professional experience
•Experienced manager of multi-national, multi-disciplined technical groups (reservoir and exploration related departments);
•Effective communication and organization skills
•Perfect command of English, Russian of advantage and preparedness to continuous learning
•Strategic and business oriented thinking and project management skills
•Commitment to safety, exceptional service and continuous improvement
•Computer literate
