Position Required Reservoir Engineer
Reports to (Position) Petrophysical Lead



Job Description/Major Duties (general job functions, responsibilities, day-to-day tasks & activities)
The Reservoir Engineer will provide reservoir engineering support for pre and post drill exploration activities. The Reservoir Engineer will work closely with the geoscientists to technically and commercially evaluate the Oman exploration projects and support the team in the evaluation of new areas opportunities. In additions, the Reservoir Engineer will be responsible to follow up on new discoveries test programs, early reserves estimates and coordinate the handover of information to the reservoir management teams.

The Reservoir Engineer responsibilities will include but not limited to:

• Predict and develop production forecasts for discoveries.
• Determine proved, probable, possible reserves and contingent resources for new discoveries.
• Provide reservoir engineering support to other teams.
• Prepare engineering support information for exploration wells proposal.
• Prepare test programs and monitor test activities for new discoveries.
• Support Petrophysics to optimize required logging tools.
• Follow up on complex reservoir discoveries that require artificial lift.
• Support operations and facilities departments.
• Prepare and participate in technical presentations to client management, government and partners.
• Support RMTs (Reservoir Management Teams) providing exploration reserves update, project portfolio assessment, capital post-audits, and technical budgeting.

Requirements (Education required, background, experience, skills)
• Bachelor degree in Engineering, preferred in Petroleum Engineering.
• Minimum of 6 years of Reservoir Engineering experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge in reservoir modeling tools and their appropriate application.
• Demonstrated knowledge in dynamic reservoir modeling.
• Broad understanding of Pressure/Rate Transient Analysis theory and application.
• Experience in reservoir engineering evaluations secondary or tertiary recovery operations is a preference.
• Good practical understanding of general completion procedures and production operations is a preference.
• Demonstrated history of strong organizational, forecasts and scheduling skills.
• Knowledge of and experience in economic evaluation and business financial metrics including use of commercial software for petroleum project economic analysis (PEEP experience preferred).
• Good Communication & Interpersonal skills.
