The Company:
A major international oil and gas operator seeks multiple Reservoir Engineers to join their team.

The Role:
Client teams perform front-end technical studies for exploration, appraisal and development, as well as new business opportunities, all within the Upstream business
The teams deliver technical services, know-how related to hydrocarbon maturation, plus petroleum and conceptual engineering support
The client team also provides global theme expertise for Deepwater, EOR and Unconventional Reservoirs

Principal Accountabilities:
As a reservoir engineer,you will play a role in providing all (RE) technical input required for some of the exciting new business or redevelopment opportunities for the client
Be expected to participate in integrated field studies, being responsible for the reservoir engineering work content and quality in a given study
Support the scoping of new projects, be involved in project framing and development of forward work programs

Dimensions:
The immediate sphere of influence is the group of which you would be a member
Your work challenges range from major integrated development studies via expert advice in your area of expertise to shorter term evaluations, integrating your results with development planners and economists and addressing the full project lifecycle
While you will have no direct budget responsibility, your study work will influence projects which may range from several hundred million to billions of dollars

Special Challenges:
Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary and sometimes dispersed teams
Work to a high level of technical competence, often under time pressure
Provide RE expertise to a number of projects spanning all themes of Global Solutions Upstream
Appreciation of the contribution made by other disciplines in a study team and maintaining an overview of the customer's business needs

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Univeristy Degree (Graduate preferred) in Petroleum Engineering or relevant related field plus at least 5 years of industry experience
Experience in previous region (operating company) and/or technical services environment
Prior experience working on integrated field study team
A good understanding of the business impact of your reservoir engineering studies and how those results merge with results from other subsurface
Be skilled in reservoir simulation and have a good understanding of the reservoir simulation techniques (including the related PVT, SCAL and well testing aspects) for a wide range of reservoir engineering and integrated reservoir problems
Skill in uncertainty management will be an advantage

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
A great variety of work with very different technical and business challenges, covering the full hydrocarbon life cycle: bid rounds, drilling programs, scoping studies for new developments, field development planning, production optimization studies, data rooms and regional studies therefore, there are excellent opportunities for you to develop your technical skills
