The Role:
We are looking for a very experienced, hands-on, reservoir engineer to provide expert support for our projects.
This person should be able to deputise for the GM of Reservoir Engineering as and when required.

We are looking for a very experienced reservoir engineer to provide expert support for our projects. This will involve design and coordination of subsurface projects, hands-on reservoir engineering studies, mentoring junior engineers and working with the broader technical and commercial teams.

Provide a high level of technical reservoir engineering expertise, backed up by extensive project experience, to strengthen the reservoir engineering team.

The Reservoir Engineering Advisor will work with GM Reservoir Engineering to ensure appropriate reservoir engineering analysis and advice are effectively used to create value and identify opportunities.

Alongside specific project responsibilities, the RE Advisor will coordinate studies and resources, improve workflows and help develop the reservoir engineers.

• Production forecasting, reserves assessment and provision of general reservoir engineering expertise.
• Ensure projects are delivered with high technical standards and fit-for-purpose workflows
• Ensure that studies are fully integrated with other disciplines and that the results are used effectively and appropriately.
• Design and comment on development plans for operated and non-operated fields
• Reservoir management optimisation.
• Co-ordinate reservoir engineering activities between partners and consultants
• Provide technical and commercial support for equity determination and new contracts.
• Participate in peer reviews
• Support evaluations of new business opportunities
• Represent at technical and operating committee meetings and with national authorities

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Experienced in being part of an integrated, multi-disciplinary team that welcomes challenges.
• Has a strong sense of curiosity and is driven by continuous learning
• Working knowledge of other disciplines including, geology, geophysics, drilling, production operations, economics and Well completions.
• Possesses the ability to utilize all the available data and apply the appropriate analytical and numerical techniques.
• Is able to quantify risk and uncertainty and to understand the impact on production forecasts and decisions.
• Strong communication skills. Is able to listen and communicate clearly and concisely within a multi-cultural and multi-discipline environment. Comfortable presenting to technical peers and Executive Management.
• Ability to organise, manage time and prioritise is essential.
• Pro-active, self-starter.
• Expert user of reservoir engineering software (Eclipse, PETEX suite, Saphire, Petrel)
• A solid understanding of hydraulic fracturing and geomech

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• Very experienced Reservoir Engineer with sound technical background. Must have experience of a wide range of projects, including field appraisal, reservoir management, development planning and operations.
• Engineering degree with preferably post graduate degree in Petroleum Engineering (or equivalent).
