The Company:
A major Oil & Gas operator across the european region. Due to the expansion of current & future projects require a number of Oil & Gas engineering professionals to support growth.

The Role:
The Department Manager Reservoir Geology is the Technical Authority for the discipline and, as such, is responsible for the quality check of all geological studies, and integration into reservoir studies, as well as advising, teaching and recommending training. He/ she is also to act as a focal point and representative for reservoir geological issues and activities.

Main Responsibilities:

• Acts as focal point for geologic expertise of Petroleum Engineering Department, providing expertise, when necessary, across the CLIENT organization
• Provides advice, support and guidance to asset in projects implementation, production monitoring and analysis to verify compliance with forecast
• Implements and carries out the HSSE policy of the company
• Assists in the coordination of Petroleum Engineering study teams including assigning geologists to specific tasks and setting of internal deadlines
• Mentors, advises and recommends processes to all subordinate geologists and oversees their training requirements
• Line manages and coordinates the geological expertise team in the Reservoir Geology Department
• Line manager of all geologists from within Petroleum Engineering Discipline
• Coordinates with other Experts (e.g. Data Management, Reservoir Geophysicists Petrophysical, Reservoir Engineering, and Production Technology), other Petroleum Engineering departments and other relevant E&P departments such as Development and Drilling
• Conducts regular (monthly) meetings and training sessions with the reservoir geologists
• Is involved in service provider management and performance assessment.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Educational requirements: University degree in Geological Sciences, preferably to a Masters / PhD Level;
• Minimum of 15 years oil industry experience in Development and Exploration;
• Profound knowledge of Petroleum Geology and Development Geology methodologies;
• Good understanding of Geophysics, Petrophysics and Reservoir Engineering;
• Good interpersonal skills within Petroleum Engineering and ability to work in a team;
• Languages: Fluent in spoken and written English; some knowledge of Romanian is an advantage;
• Computer literate, especially competence in using 3D modeling software, e.g. Petrel.
