This vacancy has now expired.
The Role:
This week has seen the start of our next phase of recruitment for one of our key House Accounts, for a home based Managerial position with a global remit.

Brief Overview:
Our next two critical fills are in Drilling Operations and Rig Equipment however vacancies are present across the entire business, successful applicants will have exposure to every one of the Operators sites in the first 12-18 months, visiting and liaising with on site supervisors/managers and external contractors to assess and document current working practices, procedures and operational guidelines.

The easiest way to describe the basic remit would be that of an auditor BUT the client has specifically requested NO APPLICANTS from Audit or Safety personnel, they are only interested in pursuing operational professionals that have the necessary knowledge, background and experience to understand what it is they're assessing and at the same time be credible with the people they’ll in contact with and working alongside. Findings are reported back at the highest level so we need a personable individual comfortable with speaking everyone from Roustabout to CEO and documenting everything in between.

Previous successes have been from an Operations Manager, Rig Manager or Engineering Manager background, with international Operator experience (preferable but not essential)

Right now this is the most important team in the Operators business, it’s a very high profile role with some significant opportunities to fast track a career and develop an enviable personal network within Oil & Gas.

Role Basics:
• Managerial grade Operator position with a global super
• 21/21 home based rotation
• Business unit reports directly into the Board, daily line contact with Presidents & VP’s globally
• Exposure to every aspect of the Operators business and client base, onshore/offshore/upstream/downstream
• Package and grade negotiated on a case by case basis
• Opportunity to create your own role after 18-24 months in a business unit/location of your choice, multiple instances of this happening since phase 1.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Potential applicants:
• MUST have 10-15 years minimum Supervisory/Managerial experience in Oil & Gas or a related process/procedure based sector
• MUST be degree qualified in an Engineering discipline
• MUST have Offshore & Onshore experience
• MUST be passionate about improvement, optimisation and safety
• MUST be career driven, looking to make a genuine difference

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Interested parties can reach me on mormesher@fircroft.com for more details, there is a great deal of interest in this role so unfortunately only applicants meeting the criteria set out above can be considered.
