The Company:
Our Client is looking for a Rig Auditor (DP And Marine) to be based within the Safety & Operational Risk Audit Group reporting to the Director of Rig Auditing. The successful individual will work with the other rig auditors on assignments for all of our clients assets worldwide.

The Role:
As a Rig Auditor (DP Marine) your main duties will involve:

• Liaising with Drilling Contractors and the Global Wells Organisation to work to audit goals / guidelines
• Gathering, analysing, and using information and experience to objectively determine and assess the operational drilling and any risks to safety that may be present
• Ensuring that any findings are fully understood by Drilling Contractor and the Global Wells Organisation
• Championing HSSE at all times and represent the rig audit group in a professional manner.
• Conveying the audit team’s expectations and obligations regarding safety.
• Stopping an unsafe act if witnessed and immediately report any unsafe conditions
• Writing comprehensive technical reports in a timely manner.
• Maintaining an up to date knowledge relating to new safety and technical standards, industry best practices, etc
• Reviewing equipment inspection and maintenance records to determine current status and conformance with performance standards

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• A Master Mariner (STCW 95) certificate (unlimited).
• Offshore survival and health certificates including HUET are essential.
• DP knowledge is essential with a focus on deepwater drilling operations.
• Excellent knowledge of industry standards such as SOLAS, Classification Rules, IMCA, API, legislation, etc
• Good knowledge or experience with towing or operations of MODUs.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• Preferably educated to degree level with knowledge of naval architecture being seen as an advantage.
• Experience in report writing, delivery of presentations and chairing of meetings will be an advantage.
• Proven track record as a strong team player and ability to lead a team will be an advantage.
• A demonstrable technical audit, safety audit or general auditing track record as an audit team leader will be an advantage.
