The Company:
Our client is a major oil and gas operator with exploration projects globally and employing over 30,000 staff. As a result of continued growth and internal audit strategy on operational best practice we are now looking to recruit experienced candidates for a Rig Audit position offering extensive offshore travel, home working within a technically challenging workspace with fantastic career opportunities.

The Role:
The successful candidate will be tasked with the following activities:

• Travel exploration and production assets to conduct operational and audits
• Work will involve assessing cranes, fixed and loose lifting equipment and lifting plans procedures on offshore drilling rigs and onshore well sites
• Assess and audit to include drilling and engineering best practice, corporate standards, industry standards, earned value and lessons learnt as well as regional legislation.
• Document gaps and communicate matters to senior management
• Coordinate with regional drilling managers in setting out clear operational goals and objectives
• Promote HSE and safety best practice at all times
• Write detailed audit reports and engage with regional drilling and wells managers on recommended actions.
• Verify compliance with any recommended actions.
• Contractor performance evaluation

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
We are therefore looking for applications with the following skills and experience:

• Minimum qualification is HND/HNC in an engineering discipline
• Current offshore HUET or ability to obtain certificate is essential
• Ability to work within and lead multi discipline audit teams
• Crane boom inspections are a key component of a rig audit and so candidates should have no concerns working at heights
• Experience in the management and technical support of personnel involved in the implementation of lifting operations offshore.
• Knowledge of recognised training and competency standards for personnel involved in lifting operations offshore.
• Experience of participation in the planning and risk assessment of lifting activities offshore.
• Knowledge of the operational principles and basis of design of items of primary lifting equipment such as pedestal cranes, overhead cranes, winches and associated controls systems and safety devices.
• Extensive knowledge of certification
