The Company:
Our Client is a Leading Global Operator in the Oil and Gas Industry.

The Role:
The incumbent will work with and provide interface support to the Rig Startup team in the Rig Engineering organisation. The role will focus on bringing rigs in to our client and preparing them for startup. This will require individuals with experience in rig upgrades and startups. The individual will develop the rig startup plan which requires the integration of various drilling, completion and intervention systems and the application of project management skills to integrate HSE values with drilling I well completions and subsea installation efficiency and cost control.

• Assist with the development of the project’s Rig Delivery Plan.
• Is expected to know the specifics of the rig IADC equipment list and will execute on-going analysis to ensure gaps in requirements are identified and resolved so there are no delays or missing equipment when rig starts-up.
• Organise, facilitate and document the bi-weekly Wells I Subsurface I Subsea interface meeting regarding outfitting of the rig.
• Organise, facilitate and document interface meetings with 3rd party service and equipment providers, our client’s functional disciplines and rig contractor regarding outfitting of the rig.
• Participate in the selection of rig 3rd party services and equipment contracts (e.g. ROV, MWD, Mudlogging, Cement, etc.)
• Responsible for coordinating the installation of 3rd party services on the rig.
• Will work with communications I networking engineer and rig contractor personnel to identify and plan the installation of communications and networking systems on the rig which will be used by our client and 3rd party personnel.
• Will be present at shipyard and/or go to the rig during installation work to ensure quality of execution.
• Responsible to monitoring and communicating the completion progress of modifications to the rig to the team (to both our client and 3rd party companies). ,
• Will be expected to actively participate in equipment quality assurance work for owner, operator and 3rd party provided equipment.
• Responsible for maintaining and reporting on the rig modifications budget specific to each Variance Order.
• Manage project execution work
• Will actively participate in the integrity assurance process that will be applied to the delivery and start-up of the rig.
• Will be expected to participate and contribute to on-going risk identification and mitigation efforts for the rig,
• The Rig Delivery Engineer is expected to use the Rig Engineering Sharepoint site as the definitive collaboration tool for all rig documentation.
• Will access, capture and share learnings on an on-going basis using our client’s Knowledge Management tools.
• Will be expected to organize Peer Reviews and Peer Assists where and when required.

Note: Up to 50% of the time will be spent travelling to various locations.
